Hello and welcome to the Management Information Systems Association at California State University, Northridge (MISA CSUN)!
 

My name is Julie, and I’m honored to serve as the new President of MISA. I’m majoring in Systems Operations Management with minors in Business Analytics and Marketing, and I’m excited to help guide our organization this year.
 

First, thank you for taking the time to learn more about MISA. Choosing to get involved is an important step in your professional and personal development, and we’re thrilled to support you on that journey. MISA is a student-run organization focused on helping members build both their technical foundation and the essential professional skills needed in today’s business and tech environments.
 

In today’s workplace, strong “soft skills”—like communication, teamwork, and adaptability—are just as important as technical knowledge. Employers consistently look for candidates who can collaborate, problem-solve, and build strong relationships. Our goal at MISA is to help you grow in all of these areas. Through our networking events, workshops, and industry panels, you’ll have the opportunity not only to learn from professionals, but also to understand which skills make applicants stand out.
 

Just as important, MISA is a place to build community. Your peers can become future colleagues, collaborators, and friends who help you navigate your academic and career goals.
